Margaret KING , 1823–1904 (aged 81 years)
The headstone for Margaret is inscribed that she was 81 years of age at the time of her death in 1904.
In an email of 5 March 2017, Stephen Billingham has written:
"After her husband died Margaret Billingham and her 2 young sons Joseph jnr and Sylvanus initially moved back to their 2nd [30ac] farm on Dumaresq Island then to Taree where Margaret had a cottage and grocery store at about 144 Victoria St, Taree. Next to the present day Wesley Chambers, the old Manning Shire Council office, of course this was built decades later in 1936. I have an accurate 1876 reference stating that there were only 2 houses/cottages on the riverbank between Manning Street and Brown's Creek. They belong to Mrs Billingham and George Saxby who had his first cordial factory in Victoria Street about opposite present day Taree Camera House."
