Catherine McCARTHY , 1814–
Catherine was noted as being 22 years years old at the time of her arrival in NSW in 1837 and 24 years old at the time she was granted permission to marry Joseph in 1838.
The "Sir Charles Forbes" (4) was under the command of James Leslie, with William Clifford as the surgeon. Originally 150 female convicts were boarded, 2 were relanded. Of the 148 female convicts transported, only one died on the voyage, leaving 147 being landed in Sydney.

Catherine was on a bond and Joseph was free by servitude at the time.
