"John Campbell and his wife Christina McDonald (Kenneth McDonald's sister) settled at "Penshurst" in the Upper Paterson where their son John was born in January 1840....By 1843, when the Campbell's next child Catherine was born on Christmas Day, 1843, the family had moved to "Strathisla" in the Upper Paterson....Annabella was also born at Strathisla" in 1845.

By 1848, the Campbell's had again shifted, this time to "Lostock" on the Paterson, where Janet was born....While still at "Lostock", Margaret Campbell was born in 1850."
