In the "Newcastle Morning Herald" of 27 May 1959:

"Live in Home They Wed in 60 Years Ago.

Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Williamson of 43 Ridge Street Merewether will celebrate their diamond wedding in the home in which they married 60 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Williamson were married by Rev J.D. Penman on May 31 1899 at the home of Mrs Williamson's parents. Mrs Williamson first went to live at 42 Ridge Street when a girl of seven. For the first three years of their marriage Mr and Mrs Williamson lived in another part of Merewether and then for a short time at Pelaw Main, but they rreturned to Mrs Williamson's childhood home and have been there ever since. ... To celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary Mr and Mrs Williamson will be "At Home" to their friends on Saturday and Sunday."

Enoch followed his parents' interest in the Methodist Church taking various positions at the Park Street Methodist Church and Sunday School for about sixty years.
