Note: At some time we were showing the second given name for Thomas as Lorma. Then in an email of 11 June…

At some time we were showing the second given name for Thomas as Lorma. Then in an email of 11 June 2012, Di Godwin advised that this name should be Lorimer. Lorimer being the maiden surname of his Mother, Jenny. So I changed the name.

On the 31st July 2020, John Poll kindly sent me a copy a transcript of the death registration for Thomas. In this, his middle name is clearly shown as Larma. His son, James Francis, was the informant.

Other instances have been seen as Lorimar and Lorrimar.

In addition it is interesting to note the names on the death registration for William Lorma McBRIDE (1904-1954).

This naming issue is being addressed by some interested researchers and I will post any change agreed upon, if and when I am advised.
