He enlisted in February, 1916, and after training at Rutherford, sailed for England on 3rd May, l916. He completed his training at Salisbury Plains and crossed to France on 21st November, 1916. He was killed near Havrincourt on 7th April. 1918, and was buried in the Military Cemetery Cite Bon Jean Armentieres.
