Thank you so much for replying so promptly. It just gets better and better. Yes, my mother was Esma Joy Snow, she died in 2006, about three weeks after my husband, in Casino aged 93. Also, Dad died at Mullumbimby, which is pretty close to Byron Bay I suppose. I also have the book, A Forest of Blanch's, somewhere, and will double check on the Blanch line to help you correct your history, though there are a few errors there, a lot of the old people who gave the information corrected birthdates to ensure there were no children born before they should have been. Ted (Edgar George) was the only son of Edgar George Edmund and Adeline Bale, he had three sisters, Audrey, Joan ( still living) and Alison, who died from kidney failure when she was 28, leaving 3 small children. He also had half siblings from his fathers first wife, she died early as well, they were Albert, Ivor and Reta. Edgar George Edmund was the son of the Edgar George, who was the son of George, and he died in the sixties in Casino, aged about 72, not sure of the date until I locate the book. I will keep in touch though and get a good photo of the picture of George, his portrait was drawn by a convict on a tile, unfortunately it is cracked down the middle, but still rather precious to us. Apparently he was a foreman for convict gangs in the Rocks area and was very well thought of. All these EGE's and EG's are a bit confusing and I broke the mold and called my eldest Donald Edgar. Nice to know I have a cousin Annette, if ever you are near Mission Beach in Far North Queensland, let me know, I have a big house and you would be more than welcome to visit. Thanks again Mary
