Source: Web Site - ancestry.com.au Citation details: New South Wales, Australia, Assisted Immigrant Passenger Lists, 1828-1896 McGillivray - Sally - Arrived on board the 'George Fife'. Note: Downloaded from ancestry.com.au.
Note: The birth certificate for her daughter, Margaret, includes the information that Sarah was 26 years of age at the time of the birth in 1857 and that Sarah was born in Scotland. This would have Sarah born in 1831. Clearly, dates do not work out. This would mean that Sarah was only 10 years of age at the time of the birth of her son John MISSINGHAM. Also, it would mean that she was only 12 years of age when she married James. The age at death for Sarah in her Death Certificate is 36. This would have her born about 1822. Which does fit better with the other relevant dates. The immigration record for Sally includes the information that she was 18 years of age at the time of her embarkation on board the 'George Fife'. This also means that she was born about 1822.
