Son of Samuel Andrews, a farmer, and his wife Jane Woodside. Married (1) Ann Dickson in Glasgow in 1834 and had issue, 15 children of whom 6 sons and 6 daughters survived him. He arrived in Australia in 1841. Married (2) Pauline Keogh in Sydney on 5 June 1888. Presbyterian.

"Margaret has her birth/death - 1839 Ireland, died 1920 Pennsylvania US.

Margaret married Charles Swank in the US about 1855. I only have this from census and the grave records. They had many children - however in 1900 Margaret said she had 11 children, 8 living, 1910 said she had 9 children, 7 living?? so I'm not sure as to the total number. The names of 8 appear in Census records. From the census Margaret was definitely born c. 1839. I don't know if there was an earlier daughter born 1833 who died young - many online trees have this date but I haven't found any record of same. Swanks were a large family - daughter of Ann Andrews married a younger brother of Charles."
