Citation details: February 2012 page 8 Text: He was appointed as assistant surveyor in the Hunter River district, surveying the road between Paterson and Gresford in 1850, then continued on to the Manning area. Henry was following the practice of many surveyors and establishing himself on prime land in the Manning Valley. He leased land on the South Bank in the 1850’s called ‘Warwiba’, and established a horse and cattle stud. In 1855, he purchased 115 acres at Clarkson’s Crossing, Nabiac. |
