"I can tell you a fair amount about the background. Amelia's brother Robert Henry Scott Bland is my great great grandfather. Their parents names were Henry Bland and Elizabeth Bland (maiden name Scott). They lived in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. They had 8 children, all born there. They came to Australia in 1881 on a ship called the Orient, though the eldest son remained in England. The children that came to Australia were: Emily Scott, Horace S., Elizabeth S., Amelia S. Charles S.S., Robert Henry Scott, and Leah Scott. It looks as though all the children took their mothers maiden name as their middle names."
