Note: Her grandson, "Sam" has recalled, "Her faculties and determination were very good, but physical proportions were literally her "downfall". A veritable dumplimg of a woman. She stood no more than 5 feet tall and the same in circumference. As age encroached, her legs were fighting a losing battle against weight and rheumatism. She spent her days struggling from chair to chair. As fit as I was as a 20 year old, I had no hope of lifting her alone whenever she slipped off the chair and sat on the floor."
