"5 of her other children (Hugh, James, Agnes, William and Thomas) had already come to the colony on the 'Castle Eden' 3 years earlier, in 1848, again easy to check as they are on the passenger list for that ship."

Note: Arrived on board the "Castle Eden" with his sister Agnes and his brothers James and Thomas. His mother, Isabella and some other siblings arrived in New South Wales on board the "Earl Grey" on 15 October 1851.
