"Samuel's parents are Stephen & Elizabeth Smith nee Mayberry/Maybury, originally Mayberry but there are various spellings in later documents, as you probably know they spelt it how it sounded to the scribe, (which would have made it very difficult if they had an accent) I have attached some documents that will give you some help if you are interested. Most of Samuel's siblings were born in and around Clarence Town NSW. They also have a long history with the Bulladelaha area in NSW."

Note: No record of the birth of Jane can be found. The headstone for Jane is inscribed that she was 93 years of age at the time of her death in 1934. Also the Death Certificate of her Mother, Mary DOWDEY, includes the information that Jane was 49 years of age at the time of her death in 1890. Jennifer Bolton also advises that Harry and Yvonnie Arnall advised her that a daughter Jane was born on 12 May 1841 at Williams River.

He was listed, as a farmer he was age 26 he married Ann Avery of Paterson who was a private person at the time of the wedding and her usual residence was Banfield. Her father James Avery was a farmer and her mother was before her marriage to James Avery a miss Haislip., the marriage was carried out in the residence of Mr. Samuel Smith named glen oak and was near Clarencetown."
