MR. RICHARD HOUISON The death occurred on Tuesday at his residence, Nairn Cottage, Westmead, of Mr. Richard Houison, the last surviving son of Mr. James Houison, a prioneer builder of Parramatta district, who erected St John's Church ahd All Saint's Church, Parramatta, the Scots Church, Byrnes' Mill, the original portion of Parramatta Gaol, the old courthouse which stood at the corner of George and Church streets, and many other of the historic buildings. The late Mr. Richard Houison was 78 years of age, and is survived by one son and two daughters. The funeral, which was largely attended, took place on Wednesday in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Western Road Parramatta.

Note: James was a pioneer builder of the Parramatta district. He erected St. John's church and All Saints church in Parramatta, the Scots Church in Byrne's Mill, the original portion of Parramatta Gaol, the old courthouse which stood at the corner of George and Church Streets, Parramatta and many other historic buildings.
