Dear Stuart,

The photos came through, thanks. Just returned from Vic and am going through email from Thurs - Mon. Thanks for other info. As yet, I haven't studied or devoured or considered anything due to time! However, I noticed FEWINS listed from Devon. In case you haven't this, here is the family in 1851 Census for Devon. (I have the CD.)

Regards, Jan

Note: Gordon Aggett has Ann being baptised on 1 Jan 1843 and being born at South Tawton. This is conflict with what is in the Gregory Bible.
Note: Her birth location has been taken from the Birth Certificate of her son, Edwin Francis Gregory

I also came across this web site and also another by Bill and Margaret Wright at Rootwebs.

I have been checking this information against the Anglican Parish Records, Newcastle Morning Herald and Raymond Terrace Examiner before sending the info onto you. It appears that Maria Lonica & Louisa Maria Fewins are one and the same.

Maria Lonica Fewins as per St Johns, Anglican Church, Cooks Hill Baptism Register. Date of birth = 24 Oct 1957. When she married on the 3rd August, 1874 St Johns, Cooks Hill register shows the following Robert Blanch & Louisa Maria Fewins, born Newcastle, Age-under 21 years. Parents James Fewins & Lydia Aggett. Fathers occupation - miner. Witnesses - Edward Blanch & Eliza Fewins.

Her death is registered as Louisa Blanch on 27th July 1952 and she was buried with her husband on 28th July, 1952 at Raymond Terrace Pioneer Cemetery. I have a picture of the grave headstone that shows her age as 95. Her funeral notice does not give the names of her children. 1952 - 95 = 1857

Robert Blanch & Edward Blanch were brothers, Amelia Blanch their cousin.
