During this time in Mullumbimby, the family was ripped off by a friend, when money was lent to buy timber to build a home which Hector was to build for the friend.
The 'friend' however took the money and ran, leaving the Blanch family to foot the bill. Sadly the home had to be sold to do so and the family moved to Queensland.
